While helping my student, Adam, trace his family history we found a connection to the Prohibition era in the newspaper archives. His 2X great-grandfather was Napoleon Cayer of Rumford, Maine. You can see a picture of Napoleon

Napoleon's problems with illegal liquor didn't end with Prohibition. He was back in court at the age of 83 for violating liquor laws again.

Adam's tree has deep roots in Quebec, New Brunswick, and northern Maine.
